Diocesan Collective Parochial Calendar (DCPC)

Dear Sisters and Brothers,

As a diocese with an array of parishes spread over several islands in two nations, ours is a thriving part of the Body of Christ with many events and activities happening each week. The Diocesan Collective Parochial Calendar (DCPC) is a project introduced at the recent 121st Synod.  It is an accessible platform to showcase the flourishing Anglican Family in The Bahamas and The Turks and Caicos Islands.

While the calendar’s current format is a shareable PDF document, it will eventually be housed on the Diocesan website for ease of access. Its primary focus is on events being held each week, with a ‘Look Ahead’ for the next month. There is a ‘Save The Date’ section for events to be held in the future.

I ask that parishes and ministries regularly share weekly bulletins, event flyers, AND ANNUAL CALENDARS for compilation to the DCPC, which will be disseminated across diocesan platforms and on social media on a weekly basis. The calendar is to be a centralised location for all activities happening throughout the Diocese.  It will help us to support each other as well as to efficiently plan future events.
