Anatol Allison Ringel-Ferguson exemplifies resilience, dedication, and an unwavering commitment to both her faith and community. Born on January 9, 1990, in Freeport, Grand Bahama, Anatol’s pursuit of excellence began early in her academic journey at Bishop Michael Eldon High School, where she graduated in 2007. It was during this time that her commitment to her faith deepened, and she dedicated her life to God.

Her academic and professional pursuits reflect her passion for business and entrepreneurship. Anatol earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting from Terreve College and went on to obtain an MBA in Leadership and Management from York St. John University in the UK. Her professional journey includes serving as an Assistant Auditor for the Government of the Bahamas and as an adjunct Lecturer at the University of the Bahamas, Northern Campus, where she worked to shape and inspire the next generation of leaders.

Anatol’s dedication to service extended to her role at Christ the King Anglican Church, where she has been an influential community leader for over a decade. In 2018, she married Rev. Dr. Ethan Ferguson and relocated to Exuma, where she applied her business acumen in the hospitality industry as an Assistant Resort Manager at Kahari Hotel. Following the onset of the COVID-19 pandemic, Anatol returned to teaching and imparted her knowledge in Mathematics and Computer Science at St. Andrew’s Anglican School.

Anatol’s spiritual journey continued to evolve with her enrollment at the University of the South in Sewanee, Tennessee, where she attended the School of Theology. Graduating with a Master’s Degree in Divinity, she earned the prestigious Episcopal Preaching Award and became a published writer. Her pilgrimage to the Holy Land in 2023 and participation in the International Anglican Clergy in America conference in 2024 further deepened her theological perspective and spiritual calling.

In addition to her theological studies, Anatol is a Fellow of the American Association of University Women, Leaders Way at Yale Divinity School, and the Transformative Preaching Lab at Duke Divinity School. As she prepares for ordination as a Deacon in the Anglican Diocese of The Bahamas, her faith continues to be her guiding light, shaping her leadership and service to others.

Anatol’s rich multicultural heritage—being half Bahamian and half Ukrainian—adds depth and perspective to her identity. Her alb, crafted by Katherine Poitier, bears Jerusalem crosses symbolizing her time spent with priests on the frontlines in the Middle East. Though raised in the Roman Catholic tradition, Anatol’s conversion to Anglicanism was inspired by the captivating sermons of Canon Robinson during her high school years. Under the mentorship of Dean Bain, Rev. Willish, and Rev. Roach-Hepburn, Anatol stands as the first female clergy from Christ the King, Freeport, and the first from Grand Bahama in the diocese.

In her personal life, Anatol cherishes spending time with her three-year-old son, Zaire, making arts and crafts, and binge-watching Gordon Ramsay cooking shows. Her journey is a testament to her deep-rooted faith, commitment to service, and relentless pursuit of excellence, making a significant impact on her community and beyond.
