National Child Protection Month

We invite you to take part in the observance of Blue Sunday on Sunday, April 26, 2026, as part of Child Protection Month across The Bahamas.  

This year’s theme, “Building Safe Spaces: A Community Promise to Our Children.”   It calls each of us to be intentional about the way we care for, protect, and support the children around us.

Blue Sunday is a simple way to show that commitment. We encourage you to:

• Wear blue to church as a visible sign of support
• Pray for children and families, especially those who may be vulnerable
• Be mindful and present, creating environments where children feel safe, seen, and valued

As a Diocese, we have the opportunity to lead not just in word, but in example. Every conversation, every act of care, every moment of awareness contributes to building the kind of Church our children deserve.

We encourage you to take part, invite others to do the same, and approach this moment with intention.
