Anglican Hospital & Prison Chaplaincy Brings Easter Hope to Sandilands Rehabilitation Centre

Diocesan Patronal Festival and Anglican Day 2026 Mark 165 Years of Diocesan Life
The Anglican Diocese of The Bahamas & The Turks & Caicos Islands shares with sadness the passing of the Reverend Father Ralph Warnock of Innisfail, Alberta, Canada. Father Warnock died at the age of 79.
Following his retirement from the Diocese of Edmonton, Father Warnock generously offered priestly support within this Diocese from 2018 onwards, assisting particularly during the Christmas to Easter period in parishes in Abaco, Exuma, and Acklins, Crooked Island and Long Cay. His ministry among us was marked by quiet faithfulness, pastoral availability, and a warm, approachable spirit.
His wife, Shelly, a retired nurse, faithfully served alongside him and contributed significantly to the life of the communities where they served. Together, they made a meaningful difference through their genuine care, presence, and interaction with clergy and people alike.
Father Warnock and Shelly were married for 49 years. He recently observed the 45th anniversary of his ordination to the sacred priesthood, a milestone that reflected decades of devoted service to God’s Church.
We extend our prayers and heartfelt sympathy to Shelly, their four adult children, and their grandchildren as they mourn a beloved husband, father, grandfather, and priest.
May they know the comfort of Christ’s risen presence and the support of the Church he served.
May Father Ralph rest in peace.
