The Reverend Allison Dean, B.B.A., B.A., M.Div., Dip.Ed., is a Bahamian Anglican priest whose journey of faith and ministry is deeply rooted in the community of St. Agnes Anglican Church, Grant’s Town, Nassau. Born and raised in Nassau, Rev. Dean actively participated in the life of her home parish, particularly in music and communications. She served as Associate Organist at St. Agnes for several years and later took on roles such as Choir Director and Assistant Organist at St. Mary the Virgin. Additionally, she provided part-time organist services at Holy Cross and St. Matthew’s churches. As a member of the St. Agnes communications team, she was responsible for editing and uploading Sunday service recordings to the parish website.

Rev. Dean holds a Bachelor of Business Administration in Economics and Finance from The College of The Bahamas, a Bachelor of Arts in Music from Acadia University (Nova Scotia, Canada), a Master of Divinity from Wycliffe College at the University of Toronto, and a Diploma in Education (Secondary) from the University of The Bahamas. Beyond her academic achievements in theology and music, she is also an accomplished swimming coach—certified by the American Swim Coaches Association and FINA (the international governing body of swimming)—and is a registered coach with Bahamas Aquatics.

Following her return from seminary in 2017, Rev. Dean began teaching courses in Anglicanism, Liturgy, and Worship for the Anglican Theological Institute (ATI). She was ordained to the Diaconate on November 1, 2020, at St. Agnes Church, and ordained to the Priesthood on November 1, 2021, at Christ Church Cathedral, Nassau. She was first assigned to St. Barnabas Parish in Nassau, and in 2023, she was appointed Rector of St. Luke’s Parish in South Eleuthera.

In addition to her parish leadership, Rev. Dean contributes to the wider church community as a member of the Diocesan Family Violence Think Tank. Her ministry reflects a blend of pastoral care, liturgical tradition, educational engagement, and musical excellence.
