Joshua E. V. Davis, born September 27, 2000, is a Fall 2021 graduate of the University of The Bahamas, where he earned a Bachelor of Science (Honours) in Biology with a minor in Chemistry. Following his studies, he worked as a research assistant, high school science teacher, and academic tutor, and in 2022 published his first research paper in aquatic ecology and microbiology.

The Church has always been central to Joshua’s life. He first discerned a call to ordained ministry at the age of six, inspired by priests such as the Rev’d Canon Harry Ward and the Venerable G. Kingsley Knowles. His sense of vocation deepened in 2015, when he shared his interest in the priesthood with his then rector, the Rev’d Canon Peter Scott. From there, his involvement in church life grew—he became an altar server, joined the Guild of Vocations, and was confirmed on the Feast of Pentecost in 2016. As an aspirant at Holy Spirit Parish, he served as President of the St. Ambrose Guild, advisor to the CYM, teacher for Confirmation Class and Vacation Bible School, and as a Youth Hotline Responder.

In May 2025, Joshua completed his theological formation at Codrington College (St. John, Barbados) and the University of the West Indies, Cave Hill Campus, graduating with a Bachelor of Arts in Theology with First Class Honours. He firmly believes that God has called him to the Sacred Priesthood, with passions in Christian Education, Youth Ministry, Social Outreach, Evangelism, and ministry to the sick and shut-in.

Guided by his life’s mantra from Jeremiah 29:11, Joshua is committed to living out God’s purpose and plan for his life. His journey of faith reflects a deep desire to serve God and God’s people wholeheartedly, and he is grateful for every opportunity to live into his vocation by the grace of God.
