Raised in the Anglican tradition, he began serving as an acolyte at the age of three and has remained deeply involved in church life ever since. Over the years, he has represented his parish at various diocesan events and contributed actively to church ministry, including service as a vestry member, sports captain, and leader of the St. Ambrose Guild. He is also a member of the Anglican Church Men.

A graduate of St. Anne’s Anglican School, Lamar earned a Bachelor of Education in Physical Education (K–12) from the University of The Bahamas. During that time, he also served as a Physical Education teacher and certified swim coach. Deeply passionate about youth development and community building, his love for sports—especially basketball and softball—has often intersected with his ministry.

Lamar later pursued theological studies at Codrington College in Barbados and the University of the West Indies, where he completed a Bachelor of Arts in Theology with first-class honors. During his time there, he served on the student executive committee and was appointed sacristan.

He has a strong calling toward pastoral care and counseling and is committed to building a ministry rooted in compassion, service, and love. His guiding scripture is 1 Corinthians 13:13 — “And now these three remain: faith, hope, and love. But the greatest of these is love.”
