The Reverend Marie Roach-Hepburn, B.A., M.Ed., Dip.Min., is a devoted Anglican priest, theological educator, and missionary in the Diocese of The Bahamas and The Turks and Caicos Islands. She serves as a Lecturer and member of the Administration at the Anglican Theological Institute (ATI), where she teaches Christian Spirituality, Apologetics, and Evangelism. Her academic and ministerial work reflects a lifelong passion for education, spiritual formation, and the global mission of the Church.

Rev. Roach-Hepburn received her secondary education at St. John’s College in Nassau, Bahamas, and at St. Elphin’s School for Girls in Derbyshire, England. She earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Elementary Education from the College of St. Benedict in St. Joseph, Minnesota, USA. She later pursued a Master of Education degree in Curriculum Development and Education in Developing Countries from the University of London, Institute of Education.

Her professional career in education spans over twenty-five years with the Anglican Central Education Authority (ACEA) of The Bahamas. As Director of Education, she facilitated numerous workshops and provided leadership to schools throughout the diocese. In 2005, she took a sabbatical to further her theological studies at Wycliffe Hall, Oxford University, with a focus on Evangelism and Apologetics. While there, she also completed the Oxford Diploma in Ministry. It was during a mission trip in Northern England, while studying at Wycliffe, that she discerned her call to ordained ministry.

Rev. Roach-Hepburn was ordained to the diaconate on July 11, 2007, on the Feast of St. Benedict, and to the priesthood on August 25, 2008, on the Feast of St. Bartholomew. Her ministry has taken her across the Caribbean and North America, sharing the Gospel and offering spiritual guidance in The Bahamas, the Turks and Caicos Islands, Trinidad and Tobago, Barbados, and various U.S. cities. She is a sought-after speaker for retreats, seminars, and talks on Christian Spirituality, Spiritual Direction, and Christian Education and Formation. Her international mission work has included trips to Trinidad, Jamaica, India, and England.

Rev. Roach-Hepburn has also contributed to the wider Anglican Communion through her service on the Standing Committee for the Church in the Province of the West Indies.

In her personal life, she enjoys photography, gardening, reading, music, and travel—activities that reflect her deep appreciation for God’s creation and the beauty of the world. She is married to Theron Hepburn.
