Coconut Grove Food Pantry Crisis Center

Some forty years ago, the late David and Tessie White of Eleuthera, Bahamas, along with other visionaries, recognized a pressing need in Coconut Grove, South Florida. Amidst a growing Bahamian migrant community established during the contract days, they stepped forward to ensure no one went hungry. Their compassion and dedication laid the foundation for what is today the Coconut Grove Food Pantry Crisis Center, operating alongside Christ Episcopal Church, under the leadership of Fr. Jonathan Archer, a Bahamian.

Serving over 400 people weekly, this center stands as a testament to the enduring spirit of community and care inspired by the Whites and others like them. Their legacy continues to nourish lives and uplift spirits.
