Tribute to Archbishop Gomez by The Rev Don Haynes

The Election of a New Archbishop in the Province of the West Indies
As the 42nd Triennial Provincial Synod of the Church in the Province of the West Indies begins in Nassau this week, we invite all parishioners to join in worship this Sunday, November 9, 2025, when delegates from across the Caribbean and the wider Province will be hosted in parishes throughout New Providence.
This Sunday’s services offer a special opportunity for congregants to worship, fellowship, and share in the Anglican spirit alongside bishops, clergy, and lay representatives from every diocese in the Province, including Barbados, Belize, Guyana, Jamaica & The Cayman Islands, Trinidad & Tobago, the Windward Islands, and the North Eastern Caribbean & Aruba.
Each parish hosting delegates will feature local clergy and visiting representatives participating in Sunday Eucharists across the island, beginning as early as 7:00 a.m. and continuing through the 10:30 a.m. services. Among those welcoming guests are:
-
St. Barnabas Parish – The Rev’d Fr. Roderick Bain, Rector
-
St. Agnes Parish – The Venerable Keith Cartwright, Rector
-
Holy Cross Parish – The Rev’d Dr. Ethan Ferguson, Rector
-
Christ the King Parish – The Venerable Dwight Rolle, Rector
-
St. Anne’s Parish – The Rev’d Fr. Hugh Bartlett, Rector
-
Church of the Epiphany – The Rev’d Canon Atma Budhu, Rector
-

-
Holy Trinity Parish – The Rev’d Fr. DeAngelo Bowe, Rector
-
St. James, St. Matthew’s, Holy Spirit, All Saints, St. Margaret’s, and others each welcome delegates from around the Province.
The Diocese encourages all congregants to come out, support, and extend warm Bahamian hospitality to our visiting brothers and sisters in Christ.
