Diocesan Pastoral Care & Counselling Ministries Conclude Revival & Healing Mission in Exuma

A four-day mission of worship, outreach, and healing has just concluded in Exuma, led by the Diocesan Pastoral Care & Counselling Ministries under the theme “Family Matters… Healing Hearts & Homes.” The mission was led by Mrs. Audrey Rolle-Major and brought together clergy, lay leaders, and ministry teams for four days of worship, outreach, and spiritual renewal.

Thursday, November 13, marked the opening of the mission with a courtesy call on the Exuma District Council, led by Chief Councillor Ben Davis. The team then conducted door-to-door evangelism in Williams Town, sharing the Gospel and offering prayers with residents. The day concluded with a Mission Service at St. Mary Magdalene Anglican Church, conducted by Fr. John Pinder, Priest-in-Charge of St. Michael’s and St. Nicholas, East Grand Bahama.

On Friday, November 14, the team visited St. Andrew’s Anglican School for a special assembly featuring uplifting words from Fr. Pinder and former principal Rev. Paulette Cartwright. Outreach continued in the community of Hart’s, followed by an evening Mission Service at St. Margaret’s Anglican Church, conducted by Rev’d Cartwright. A vibrant Youth Rally led by Diocesan Youth Officer D’Ondre Miller, along with Fr. Pinder and Alarie Turner, energized young people across the island.

The mission continued on Saturday, November 15 with Ministry Training sessions in Evangelism, Prayer, and Youth Involvement at St. Andrew’s Parish Hall. Presenters included Mrs. Ellen Romer, Mrs. Marva Russell-Minns, and Ms. D’Ondre Miller.

On Sunday, November 16, team members visited five Anglican churches across Exuma for Eucharistic worship. The mission concluded with a powerful Healing Service conducted by Rev’d Cartwright of St. John the Baptist Church, South Abaco.

Throughout the mission, lives were touched, hearts were renewed, and the presence of God was deeply felt across the island of Exuma.
